Quinta Do Lago Laranjal
DG PORTUGAL 2024 Editor, Kevin Markham
Laranjal is the last of the three courses at Quinta do Lago. Opened in 2009, this is a championship par-72 of 6,480 metres, sweeping between umbrella pines, cork-oaks and
orange trees. Indeed, it was originally an orange grove which adds colour and an extra flourish to your round. The narrow fairways are distinctly defined while the greens, seeded with Penn A4, require your full concentration due to their size and strong shapes. You will need accuracy to navigate this testing route as it flows over rolling terrain. Expect the same levels of maintenance and quality as the South and North courses, but also a very different experience.

The course is renowned for its greens,
particularly the undulating slopes
which will test the very best golfers for
line and pace.
